Report: Bayern part of "open race" for Tah

Sky Germany reports that there is an "open race" for Jonathan Tah, with Bayern Munich, Barcelona and several Premier League clubs all understood to be in the running for his signature.

Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah agreed a move to Bayern Munich last summer, but the deal didn't materialize because the two clubs couldn't agree on a fee.

Tah has now set his sights on leaving Leverkusen on a free transfer when his contract expires next summer, but while Bayern are still thought to be interested, that doesn't mean he'll be coming.

According to Sky Germany, there is now an "open race" for the 28-year-old's signature, with Barcelona and several Premier League clubs also in the running.

Spanish journalist Ramon Alvarez de Mon claims that Tah has also attracted the interest of Real Madrid, where he would be able to play alongside Antonio Ruediger, as he does in the national team.

Curiously, Tah's current coach at Bayer Leverkusen, Xabi Alonso, is thought to be favorite to succeed Carlo Ancelotti as Real Madrid boss.
