Sporting doubts regarding the 16-year-old are apparently the reason behind the Bavarian club ending their interest.

According to sources at Sport1, FC Bayern Munich have withdrawn from the race to sign German wonderkid Kennet Eichhorn.

The recently crowned Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal champions made the decision after thoroughly examining a potential move.

Most of all, the financial conditions do not meet the expectations of Bayern bosses – but there are also sporting doubts about the 16-year-old.

Up until now, Max Eberl was considered a strong advocate of a possible transfer, but he now supports the club's decision.

If their report is indeed accurate, the news would come as a big boost for the likes of Liverpool who are pursing the midfielder.
