Kai Havertz has been told he will be included in Germany’s World Cup squad, according to Sky Germany.
The former Bayer Leverkusen attacker has spent a large part of the season sidelined but returned to the German national team setup in March, starting against both Switzerland and Ghana.
Since returning from injury, Havertz has helped Arsenal to the Premier League title, which was secured with his 1-0 winner against Burnley after Manchester City only drew with Bournemouth on Tuesday.
Havertz has scored 21 goals and provided 17 assists in 57 appearances for Germany.
Julian Nagelsmann’s full Germany squad will be announced on Thursday.
