Borussia Mönchengladbach have confirmed the signing of Kevin Diks from FC Copenhagen.

The versatile defender joins Die Fohlen as a free agent in the summer on a contract until 2030.

“Kevin is an experienced and versatile defender who can play anywhere across the backline, whether centrally, on the left or on the right,” commented Gladbach managing director for sport Roland Virkus.

“He makes us more flexible defensively, and he’s also a really good guy who’s very determined. He’ll fit in here perfectly.”

Diks, who was also linked with VfL Wolfsburg, said:

"I‘m very happy to be moving to Borussia. Gladbach are a huge club in Germany. I’m excited for the future, but I still have some important targets to achieve at my current club and I’m looking forward to the second half of the season with FC Copenhagen.”
