Although Borussia Mönchengladbach claimed their first Bundesliga win of the season in a 4-0 win over St. Pauli yesterday, former Gladbach star Max Kruse isn't getting carried away.

“I think it's far too early to talk about a turnaround for Gladbach. It was their first win of the season, their first league win in seven months,” said Kruse, on RTL/ntv afterwards.

“I think they can be happy that they've finally won again. But to talk about a turnaround now, that would be the wrong approach in my opinion,” he explained.

Haris Tabakovic's brace coupled with strikes from Shuto Machino and Oscar Fraulo moved interim coach Eugen Polanski's team up from 18th to 16th place in the table.

"Victories are great, that's clear, and we haven't had many this season, so we're happy to take the three points against St. Pauli.

"From my point of view, this has been hinted at in recent days and weeks, and what we discussed internally is now coming to pass," Polanski told DAZN.
