Borussia Dortmund coach Niko Kovac gave a mixed update ahead of Saturday's Bundesliga clash with VfB Stuttgart.

Kovac confirmed that all of Dortmund’s international players have come back uninjured, but concerns remain over Niklas Süle and Ramy Bensebaini.

“All the national team players have returned healthy, which is very important. Many were also successful and qualified. The players who were here completed very solid training sessions," said Kovac.

“Niklas Süle is still having problems with his toe, and Ramy Bensebaini with his back,” Kovac continued.

Regarding Süle’s toe injury, which has kept him out of three games, Kovac added:

"I’m not a doctor and can only pass on what the medical staff tell me. At the moment, he can’t get into any shoe, and it isn’t improving right now. We’re working on it, but it doesn’t always happen as quickly as one might expect."
