Bayer Leverkusen are said to be showing interest in SC Freiburg's talented midfielder Johan Manzambi.

According to information from Bild, this is currently just a possibility, but it could become more concrete in the coming months.

A transfer in January is not on the cards yet; Manzambi is said to be fully focused on continuing his development in Freiburg.

However, the 20-year-old midfielder, who can play in any central position, could certainly take the next step in his career next summer.

Given that Manzambi's contract in Freiburg runs until 2030 and there is no release clause; the Breisgau club can set a transfer fee is freely.

At the tail end of November, reports emerged that SSC Napoli were also interested which has since driven up the price of the player.
