Moukoko's Marseille move said to be close to collapsing

Fabrizio Romano reports that Youssoufa Moukoko's proposed move to Olympique Marseille is in danger of falling through.

At the beginning of August, it was reported that Youssoufa Moukoko had decided to join Olympique Marseille from Borussia Dortmund, with a loan deal with an option to buy on the table.

However, according to Fabrizio Romano, the deal is now on the verge of collapsing, with Marseille seriously considering pulling out after lengthy negotiations.

Several other clubs are said to be interested in Moukoko, who announced his desire to leave Borussia Dortmund through his agent, Patrick Williams, last month.

“Youssoufa was promised a lot before he signed, but it wasn't realized. He was always only interested in playing and in his development - not in anything else just like the media reports always claimed," Williams said in a statement posted by Fabrizio Romano.

“We wanted it to be different, but that's the football business. Youssoufa is totally clear in his mind, extremely focused and knows what he wants to drive his career forward. Now we are sounding out interest from England, Spain and France," the agent concluded.

Moukoko, 19, has scored 18 goals in 99 games for Borussia Dortmund.
