FC Schalke 04 head coach Miron Muslic has revealed that Edin Džeko should be fit and available for selection after this weekend.

Muslic revealed at the press conference before the match with SC Paderborn when the 40-year-old is expected to make his comeback:

"He has invested everything to return [from injury] as quickly as possible. We are very pleased with his recovery process.

"He will be gradually integrated into training in the next few days. The plan is for him to return to the squad against Düsseldorf," he said.

The Bosnian has been in rehabbing since his shoulder injury on international duty in March and just completed his first running session.

Tomorrow's match against second-placed SC Paderborn comes too soon, but Džeko will likely play a role against Düsseldorf next Saturday.
