Details confirmed for the DFL-Supercup

Bundesliga champions FC Bayern München and DFB-Pokal champions Borussia Dortmund will meet again for another chapter in the 'Der Klassiker' story.

Kicker.de confirms the date for the DFL-Supercup match will be Tuesday 17th August, at 8:30 pm CET, with the venue being Dortmund's Signal Iduna Park.

The game will see both sides introduce their new head coaches, with Julian Nagelsmann taking over from Hansi Flick at Bayern, and Marco Rose entering the dugout for the first time at the Signal Iduna Park as Borussia Dortmund head coach.

It will be Bayern's 15th appearance in the season-opening event, and it will be the 10th straight season where they have contested the Supercup. In those last 10 appearances, they have faced Dortmund 8 times, winning 4 of those games.

Dortmund have won the Supercup on 6 occasions and will be looking to make it 7 in front of their home fans, but Bayern will be there to spoil the Marco Rose welcome party and make it Supercup number 9.
