According to Sport BILD and Kicker.de, Jarell Quansah is at least expected to remain in Bayer Leverkusen's squad until 2027.

Both sources are aware that Quansah's parent club Liverpool have decided against exercising their buy-back option this summer.

The clause is set to expire shortly, and Liverpool would have the opportunity to bring the 23-year-old center-back back for €60million.

As a result, the defender will also be playing for Leverkusen next season, while Liverpool could theb exercise their buy-back option in 2027.

Even then, the Reds would have to pay Leverkusen around €60million, so the Rhineland club wouldn't feel any financial pressure.

In Leverkusen, despite always being a regular starter, Quansah like most of his teammates has struggled with inconsistent performances.

It therefore becomes understandable that Liverpool isn't yet ready to bring back their homegrown talent for €60million.
