Everton to make last-minute swoop for Röhl?

Everton are in a race against time to bring Merlin Röhl to England on Deadline Day.
According to The Athletic, the Toffees are working on a deal for the 23-year-old before the transfer window closes tonight at 20:00 CET.
Röhl has yet to start a game this season for Freiburg, who have lost their first two Bundesliga matches of the campaign.
The attacking midfielder joined Freiburg from FC Ingolstadt in 2022 for a reported €2.9 million.
In total, he has made 60 appearances for the Breisgau side, scoring three goals and providing six assists.
