Guirassy dismisses Bild's update on his injury

Serhou Guirassy has seemingly dismissed a report from Bild suggesting he will be out until the middle of October.

Late on Tuesday, Bild reported that Borussia Dortmund's new signing Serhou Guirassy will be sidelined for longer than originally expected with the knee injury discovered during his medical.

According to the report from the German tabloid, the Guinea international will be out until at least mid-October.

However, Guirassy has seemingly dismissed the report by responding to the report on social media platform X with a red cross to indicate that it's not true.

Commenting on Guirassy's injury, Borussia Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl told DPA:

“Serhou was and is on schedule. He trains here in Bad Ragaz (in Switzerland, at the team's training camp) and is already running again. Of course he's doing that without a splint.”

"We've never given a specific date for his return," Kehl added.

The 28-year-old scored 30 goals in 30 Bundesliga games for Stuttgart last season.
