Sky Germany reports that Lennard Maloney is heading for the exit door at FC Heidenheim.

According to the report, the 25-year-old has had an offer to extend his contract on the table since last summer, but an agreement has yet to be reached.

The defensive midfielder, who is out of contract at the end of the season, believes he's ready to move on.

There are said to be inquiries from Germany and England, with a move in the winter not entirely out of the question.

In that case, the Bundesliga side would demand a fee of €3-4 million, according to the report.

Maloney joined Heidenheim from Borussia Dortmund's second team in the summer of 2022.

Since then, the USA international has made 80 appearances for the club, scoring two goals and providing two assists.
