As had been rumored, Portuguese midfielder Ranto Veiga is headed out of Germany's Fuggerstägt and back to his parent club of Sporting CP. FC Augsburg confirmed a premature termination of the 20-year-old's loan arrangement - which was set to run through January - on Tuesday afternoon.

Veiga departs Germany having made 13 top tier appearances during the second half of last season's campaign. He played the full 90 minutes on three occasions and was never directly involved in a goal.

"After analyzing the first six months, we sought talks with Renato Veiga and ultimately came to the decision to end the loan early," FCA managing director Stefan Reuter noted in a press release, "We thank him for his commitment in the FCA jersey and wish him only the best for the future."
