Bayern reported to be interested in Trippier

Report from England claims Bayern Munich are interested in Kieran Trippier.
Bayern Munich are understood to be considering a move for Newcastle United's Kieran Trippier this month.

According to Chronicle Live, the Bavarians have targeted the 33-year-old in their search for a right-back.

However, the report also claims that Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe would be reluctant to let the experienced defender leave.

Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel recently confirmed that the German champions could make a move for a right-back this month if the right opportunity arises.

“We are looking for a right-back who is strong in duels. We’ll see if something is possible. Nous Mazraoui is at the Africa Cup, but we have also gotten used to Konrad Laimer at right-back, even though it’s not his best position. If there’s an opportunity on the market, we’ll take it. Otherwise things will stay this way,” he said.

At Bayern, Trippier would be reunited with Harry Kane and Eric Dier, who he played with at Tottenham.
