Hoeness gives positive update on Undav, Nübel, Karazor - and himself
In statements released by VfB Stuttgart on Thursday, head coach Sebastian Hoeness, at home ill, had positive news to share on Deniz Undav, Atakan Karazor, Alex Nübel - and himself.
VfB Stuttgart's pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday's Bundesliga clash with VfL Wolfsburg was due to take place on Thursday, but was cancelled as the club's coach, Sebastian Hoeness, has been ill with a stomach bug all week.
Instead, the Swabian club released a number of statements from Hoeness, who confirmed that he will return to the training pitch on Friday and lead the team into the game against Wolfsburg.
"I'm feeling much better now, I've used the last few days to recover," the VfB coach said, adding:
"I will lead the final training session on Friday and then travel with the team to Wolfsburg."
Hoeness also had good news for Deniz Undav, Atakan Karazor and Alex Nübel, all of whom are expected to be fit for Saturday's game.
"Atakan Karazor and Deniz Undav have indicated that they can play in Wolfsburg. We're still waiting for Alex Nübel's final training session, but we're confident that he'll be able to play as well," Hoeness said.
