Dominik Szoboszlai joined RB Leipzig from RB Salzburg in January, but is yet to make his debut for the Bundesliga outfit due to persistent groin problems.

In an interview with Sport Bild, the 20-year-old says he's making progress on the long road to recovery from the injury that has kept him out of Hungary's Euro 2020 squad.

"I continue to go step by step towards 100 percent and want to recover fully as soon as possible," said Szoboszlai.

"It hasn't been an easy time for me body-wise and mentally. At the beginning, I first had to accept the fact that I would be out for a long time," admitted the youngster.

Looking ahead to the upcoming season with Leipzig, the midfielder added:

"Quite simply, I want to play as much as I can and do as well as I can in the league. The DFB-Pokal final was a great experience, even from the outside. I'd like to reach the final again and win the cup with Leipzig."
