FC Bayern München is set to witness a new era of creative brilliance as Jamal Musiala, the club's dynamic midfield prodigy, is going to inherit the legendary No. 10 shirt following Leroy Sané’s departure to Galatasaray.

Sané officially completed his transfer to the Turkish club, vacating the prestigious number he wore since joining Bayern in the 2020/21 season. With Sané’s exit confirmed, the No. 10 is now free - a clear signal that Bayern’s hierarchy is ready to pass the baton to Musiala. Having long been regarded as the team’s most creative force, Musiala is the natural successor.

Musiala has already embraced the No. 10 on the international stage, wearing it for Germany during the EUROS 2024 and taking pride in the honor it represents. He has often spoken of the number as a childhood dream inspired by legends like Messi, Ronaldinho, and Neymar.

Musiala will however have to wear the No. 42 until the Club World Cup has finished, as are the rules of the competition.

Amid heartfelt farewells, Leroy Sané publicly endorsed Musiala as his ideal heir: "I hope he wears it - the boy has big things ahead of him," Sané said upon his exit [BILD]. The endorsement underlines both personal respect and professional recognition of Musiala’s growing stature.
