Schalke set to sign Katic at slashed price, Sky Germany reports

The former Glasgow Rangers centre-half looks set to sign a contract with Die Knappen.

Nikola Katic to Schalke 04 is considered a done deal, according to Sky Germany and other reputable sources. 

Full agreement between between the Royal Blues and Katic has been reached, as noted by Florian Plettenberg.

The 28-year-old centre-back is due to arrive on Monday, with the medical to be completed on Tuesday.

He will receive a contract with the Gelsenkirchen club until 2028, while FC Zürich are set to accept €450k plus further add-ons.

Transfermarkt.com are informed that Schalke managed to agree a sum less than half the Bosnian's valuation of €1.5million.

Katic brings with him a wealth of experience from his club career which spans time spent in Croatia, Scotland, Switzerland and England.
