There is still no agreement between Werder Bremen and Leeds United regarding Isaac Schmidt.

According to Sky Germany's Florian Plettenberg, the possible outcome is solely down to the clubs.

Talks between Schmidt and Bremen are very positive, and they have already reached an agreement in principle, as previously reported.

Leeds United and Bremen are still in discussions regarding the 25-year-old Switzerland full-back.

However, Bremen are also assessing other options and pushing for Eintracht Frankfurt's Elias Baum.

A loan deal is being mooted and Frankfurt are keeping their decision open while Bremen haven’t received a rejection yet.

Horst Steffen, who coached Baum at SV Elversberg last season, wants the 19-year-old who provided 3 goals and 5 assists in 33 games.
