During the summer, Chema Andrés left Real Madrid to join VfB Stuttgart for a reported €3 million.

However, the 20-year-old hasn’t given up on his “dream” of playing for the Spanish capital club.

“It’s every player’s dream, but I don’t focus on that,” Andrés told AS.

“I’m young and have to concentrate on day-to-day life. Right now I’m thinking about the U21 games (with Spain, editor's note) and then Stuttgart, where I’m very happy. The way they treat me is incredible.”

When asked if his lack of minutes at the Club World Cup made him decide to leave Madrid, Andrés replied:

"I don’t think it was the definitive argument, but it did tip the balance. I had thought about it before, but I waited until after the Club World Cup so as not to anticipate events.”

The young midfielder has since established himself as a starter for Stuttgart, making 12 appearances with one goal and one assist to his name.
