Chicago Fire to rival AC Milan for experienced Bayern midfielder
The Bochum native who has played well over 200 games for FC Bayern is expected to receive an offer from the MLS club based in The Windy City.

A surprise candidate has reportedly joined the hunt for Bayern Munich star Leon Goretzka, which could ruffle some feathers.
In recent weeks, the midfielder looked almost certain to join Italian giants AC Milan, but a club from the MLS has since made progress.
The Athletic is aware of Chicago Fire's interest in the German who is currently at the World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
The MLS franchise, once represented by Bastian Schweinsteiger, have even initiated talks with the Bundesliga champions.
However, it remains to be seen whether Goretzka prefers a top-level European club or is content with a move Stateside.
Furthermore, the 31-year-old could even be joined by one of his former teammates in Polish marksman Robert Lewandowski.
