Dante's first outing since being appointed as head coach of Bayern Munich's reserve team has ended in a disappointing defeat.

In their opening match of the new Regionalliga Bayern season, the Brazilian's side lost 1-0 at the hands of newly promoted SC Eltersdorf

For an extended period of the game, Bayern struggled to find a way through their opponents and lacked a cutting edge in front of goal.

Leon Benedict Sommer would score the decisive goal on 87 minutes for the visitors, who played in the Bayernliga Nord last season.

Adding insult to injury, Max Eberl and Vincent Kompany took their seat in the stands to watch the Brazilian coach's debut on Friday evening.

In the end, the only bright sparks came from the debuts of Rayan Moumouni, Jakob Horvath, Matteo Maric, and Chris Aaron Afanou.
