With Max Finkgräfe set to join RB Leipzig, 1. FC Köln expect to receive a €4 million transfer fee in the near future.

According to Bild, the newly-promoted Bundesliga side plan to use these funds to finalize the signings of Jakub Kaminski from VfL Wolfsburg and Tom Krauß from Mainz.

The report suggests both deals had previously stalled due to financial constraints but could now be completed thanks to the Finkgräfe money.

In principle, Mainz would prefer to sell Krauß, while Wolfsburg are said to have similar intentions with Kaminski.

However, Köln sporting director Thomas Kessler is still hoping to bring in both players on loan deals - potentially with an obligation to buy at the end of the season.
