Kaiserslautern secure loan with purchase option for Coventry City striker

Norman Bassette is expected to join the Rhineland-Palatinate club officially this afternoon.

Sky Germany are reporting that Norman Bassette's transfer to 1.FC Kaiserslautern can be considered a done deal.

The Belgian's loan at Ligue 2 side Stade Reims has been terminated, which allowed the club from the 2.Bundesliga to swoop in. 

An agreement has been reached between Kaiserslautern and Coventry City for a six-month loan with a purchase option. 

Now, a medical examination has been scheduled for the 21-year-old striker which is set to take place today, Tuesday 6 January.

Valued at €1.8million by Transfermarkt.com, he managed to score just one goal in 12 games despite featuring for just 431 minutes.
