According to ESPN journalist Felipe Silva, Bayer Leverkusen are interested in making a bid this summer for Danilo from Botafogo.

Like Seria A side SSC Napoli, the Rhineland club have reportedly already made an initial inquiry regarding the 24-year-old talent.

According to Silva, negotiations have not yet taken place for Danilo returned to Brazil from Nottingham Forest last summer for €23million.

Should the two-time Brazilian international shows interest, Leverkusen will send agents to Brazil to hold further talks with Danilo.

In the current season, which only started in Brazil at the end of January, Danilo has made 19 appearances and contributed to 11 goals.

The left-footed player impresses with his accurate passing, good vision, and strong defensive work as a box-to-box midfielder.
