Mario Gomez has no plans of leaving VfB Stuttgart despite the club's relegation from the Bundesliga.

In the wake of the 0-0 draw with Union Berlin in the Bundesliga play-off on Monday that saw Stuttgart relegated on away goals (2-2 on aggregate), Gomez's agent Uli Ferber tells Stuttgarter Zeitung:

"Mario wants to help repair the sporting damage. He will not leave the club in this situation."

Gomez, 33, is under contract with Stuttgart until 2020. The former German international scored eight goals in 34 appearances during the 2018/19 campaign.
