RB Leipzig have officially announced the successful signature of Johan Bakayoko this evening, Wednesday.

The speedy right winger has signed a contract at Die Roten Bullen which will keep him in Saxony until 2030.

With the 22-year-old's deal at Eindhoven set to expire next summer, Leipzig have got the Belgian at the bargain price of €22million.

The supposed breakdown of the fee paid by the Bundesliga club equates to €18million, plus a further €4million in bonuses.

Sporting director Marcel Schäfer expressed his delight at Bakayoko's arrival, who was being linked to both Dortmund and Leverkusen.

“With his power, explosiveness, speed, and goal threat, he will enrich our game on the right wing and has strengths both with and without the ball,” he explained.

Following Yan Diomande and Andrija Maksimovic, Bakayoko is the third expensive new signing on Wednesday 16, July.
