Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta expressed immense pride in his team following their impressive 3-1 Champions League win over Bayern Munich. Speaking after the match, Arteta highlighted both the quality of the performance and the belief within the squad that allows them to compete with Europe’s elite:

“I’m very proud of the team and the fans,” Arteta said. “We played against the side that has been the best team in Europe this season by far in my opinion. In many moments we were very dominant, and our belief helped us win the game tonight.”

Arteta attributed Arsenal’s success to preparation and conviction. “Train it, believe it, and then you can do it,” he explained. “We can score from open play and from set pieces - we just trained very well.”

The Arsenal manager also expressed optimism about the team’s depth as more players return from injury, while praising the commitment of those currently available. “We have many players coming back, but the ones who are playing are so willing and so ready. I’m happy to coach them at this moment because it’s also a lot of fun, seeing hard work pay off.”

With the victory, Arteta’s side delivered a strong statement in Europe - and their manager made clear that confidence within the squad is growing by the match.
