Ex-Bayern Munich star Dante is being considered as a candidate to become the new head coach of FC Bayern II, per TZ München.

Current gaffer Holger Seitz has confirmed he will step down at the end of the season and take on a different role in the Campus.

Meanwhile the 2013 treble winner is currently the captain of OGC Nice in Ligue 1, but is planning to retire at the end of the season.

Dante then wants to become a coach in the professional game, with a return to FC Bayern reportedly his big dream.

Dante has already obtained his UEFA pro licence for coaching while he's still an active professional player.

In his playing days, the now 42-year-old played over 133 games for the Bavarian giants and provided 5 goals alongside 8 assists.
