FC Bayern Munich honorary president Uli Hoeneß confirmed last month that the release clause in Harry Kane’s contract expired at the end of January.

According to the Bavarian club’s CEO, Jan-Christian Dreesen, Kane’s decision not to activate the clause sent a strong signal.

“That was the first clear commitment from Harry to FC Bayern,” Dreesen told BildTV.

With Kane’s contract running until 2027, there has been speculation about a possible extension.

According to Dreesen, Bayern intend to assess the situation with the England international “before next season”.

“All the signs indicate that Harry feels very comfortable. We are very satisfied with him,” Dreesen continued.

Kane has been with Bayern since joining from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2023.
