Köln in advanced negotiations to sign Krauß

The young midfielder looks set to join Effzeh.

Tom Krauß appears to be nearing a move to 1.FC Köln, according to the latest update from Sky Germany.

The midfielder looks set to join the newly promoted Bundesliga side on loan for the 2025-26 campaign.

After very positive talks took place in early June with Köln boss Thomas Kessler, Krauß was open to a move ever since.

Transfer journalist Florian Plettenberg reports that the Mainz man, who is still under contract until 2027, is in advanced negotiations with Effzeh.

Should the club from the Cathedral City manage to avoid relegation, they could be obligated to purchase Krauß outright.

Last season, the 23-year-old was out on loan at VfL Bochum for whom he made 14 appearances for the Rührpott club.
