Mislintat threatened by Dortmund sacking after three months

Just three months after his return to Borussia Dortmund, Sven Mislintat could lose his job.

About three months ago, Sven Mislintat joined Borussia Dortmund as a squad planner.

Now, Bild reports that the 51-year-old is in serious danger of losing his job for a number of reasons.

Mislintat is said to have caused unrest on the training ground, while internal meetings have reportedly gotten out of hand due to his behavior.

Although he's only supposed to make recommendations on transfers, he's alleged to have approached players himself, and was highly critical of the signing of Yan Couto from Manchester City.

Finally, he has been accused of leaking information, and his media appearances have not gone down well with the club.

Contrary to Bild, however, Sky Germany reports that despite the difficulties between Mislintat and head coach Nuri Sahin, sporting director Sebastian Kehl and managing director for sport Lars Ricken, an immediate dismissal is not on the cards.

Mislintat has a long history with Dortmund, having previously been the club's chief scout and director of professional football.
