Grillitsch now reportedly nearing move to Netherlands

According to Voetbal International, Ajax and Feyenoord are the newest clubs competing for the former Hoffenheim midfielder.
In another episode of the Florian Grillitsch summer saga, Dutch clubs Ajax and Feyenoord are the newest favorites to sign the free-agent midfielder. This is all per Voetbal International, as Ajax could hold the edge with former Hoffenheim manager Alfred Schreuder now leading the team.

It's been a puzzling summer for Grillitsch, who's been on the verge of a deal with various clubs across Europe. Hoffenheim tried to re-sign the 27-year-old before he nearly joined Fiorentina, Galatasaray and Brighton.

Excessive salary demands are a reason for why some talks have broken down at the last minute. Grillitsch reportedly signed with ICM Stellar agency earlier this year. After this eventful summer, the midfielder has since re-hired former agent Thomas Bohm in hopes of shortly closing a deal.
