Sosa reflects on failed Leverkusen transfer, admits he dreams of Premier League move
In an interview with Bild, Borna Sosa reflects on the offer Bayer Leverkusen made for him in January and reveals that he's keen on a move to the Premier League in the future.
Bayer Leverkusen tried to sign Borna Sosa in January, but the Croatian left-back ultimately stayed after Stuttgart turned down a €10 million bid from 'Die Werkself'.
In an interview with Bild, Sosa admits that a move to BayArena was appealing to him.
"Every player sets goals in his career, and I want to play in a team that is represented in Europe if possible. But the move to Leverkusen didn't work out and that's the end of the matter," Sosa said.
"But I feel very comfortable at VfB, I've been here for almost five years now. I want to help achieve our goals. The fact that I have stayed in Stuttgart is not a problem for me."
When asked about the possibility of joining an English Premier League club in the future, the Croatian international said:
"Like many players, I dream of playing in the Premier League one day. It's the strongest league in the world. The other teams besides the big six top clubs are also strong."
