Report: Agent in talks over Cancelo's future
It's unclear where Joao Cancelo will continue his career after his loan spell at Bayern Munich expires at the end of the season. With that in mind, Cancelo's agent is reportedly working behind the scenes to find the best solution for his client.
With Bayern Munich unwilling to exercise the €70 million purchase option on Joao Cancelo's loan move from Manchester City, the Portuguese full-back's future is up in the air.
It's not out of the question that Cancelo could stay with the Bavarians, but in that case they would have to come to a different agreement with Manchester City.
As a result, Cancelo's agent, Joao Mendes, has apparently begun to explore his client's alternatives ahead of the summer transfer window.
According to Sport, Mendes has recently made contact with Barcelona, who have been linked with Cancelo for some time.
However, like the Bavarians, Barcelona are not willing to put the aforementioned 70 million euros on the table for the Portugal international.
