Fantasy Bundesliga: Must-haves and differentials for Matchday 7
Ahead of Matchday 7, we have highlighted a must-have player (M) and a differential pick (D) from each game that you should consider for your Fantasy Bundesliga team.
Borussia Mönchengladbach v. 1. FSV Mainz 05:
M: Moritz Nicolas, Keeper (BMG, 1.1M, 17%) - A starting keeper worth only 1.1M in the Fantasy game that has a very strong chance of a clean sheet? He should absolutely be in your lineup, no questions asked.
D: Alassane Pléa, Forward (BMG, 11.3M, 0%) - Pléa finally got his campaign going last weekend, scoring twice and grabbing an assist in their first win of the season. With a matchup against last place Mainz, Pléa and Gladbach can easily get this season turned around.
Borussia Dortmund v. 1. FC Union Berlin:
M: Julian Brandt, Midfielder (BVB, 16.6M, 31%) - Brandt has been the focal point of the attack for Dortmund so far but could still offer some more going forward. Union’s defense has been on a serious skid so a few goals from Dortmund seems likely.
D: Sheraldo Becker, Forward (FCU, 11.9M, 0%) - With all being said about Union, they surely are better than they have played lately. Rising to the task against Dortmund will be tough but Union are on the hot seat. Becker can help turn those fortunes around and get his season back on the right foot as well.
RB Leipzig v. VfL Bochum 1848:
M: Loïs Openda, Forward (RBL, 14.7M, 8%) - Openda had a fantastic game against Bayern and can hopefully keep the fine form going. He has been a vital addition to the team in the offseason.
D: Castello Lukeba, Defender (RBL, 11.2M, 1%) - Lukeba scored the other goal in the draw against Bayern but one wouldn’t expert too much of that going forward. However, with Orban out for some considerable time, Lukeba will see plenty of minutes in the future.
FC Augsburg v. SV Darmstadt 98:
M: Ermedin Demirović, Forward (FCA, 10.4M, 2%) - Demirović had a strong showing against Freiburg but couldn’t find an end product. He still is off to the best start so far with the Bavarian club and shows no signs of slowing down.
D: Tim Skarke, Midfielder (SVD, 4M, 1%) - Skarke has been playing well, scoring two goals in the last three matches. He has also been on the field as a striker but listed as a midfielder in the Fantasy game, always a positive.
VfB Stuttgart v. VfL Wolfsburg:
M: Chris Führich, Midfielder (VFB, 10.5M, 32%) - Fours assists on the season and two in his last two games puts him top of the league in assists at the moment. There are very few playing better than him right now.
D: Lovro Majer, Midfielder (WOB, 10.4M, 1%) - Majer has been great in Fantasy, scoring 25 Fantasy points over his last three matches. He has seemed to have built a good relationship with Jonas Wind and if they can continue working together, lots of success will come their way.
SV Werder Bremen v. TSG Hoffenheim:
M: Mitchell Weiser, Defender (SVW, 10.9M, 18%) - Weiser is a top 10 Fantasy defender without being flashy or exciting as some of the others. He will bring you a solid return matchweek to matchweek that you can count on.
D: Maximilian Beier, Forward (TSG, 6.2M, 1%) - His goal streak finally came to an end but that doesn’t mean he is done for good. With Kramarić possibly missing some time, he will be expected to produce again.
Bayer 04 Leverkusen v. 1. FC Köln:
M: Alejandro Grimaldo, Defender (B04, 11.2M, 26%) - Grimaldo has been on fire, scoring 51 Fantasy points over his last three games. The Billy Goats have also been dreadful to start the season so things could get out of hand quickly.
D: Davie Selke, Forward (KOE, 9.3M, 0%) - Selke is at least on sale at the moment and will have the best opportunity to grab a goal for Köln in this match.
FC Bayern München v. Sport-Club Freiburg:
M: Leroy Sané, Forward (FCB, 15.9M, 19%) - Sané has been one of the best Fantasy players so far this season but is still relatively low on the ownership scale at less than 20%. He should be a mainstay in most Fantasy lineups as it feels he’ll hardly have a bad game this year.
D: Kingsley Coman, Forward (FCB, 13.4M, 2%) - Coman should be in the starting lineup for Bayern and at only 2% ownership, a big game could mean big moves for managers.
Eintracht Frankfurt v. 1. FC Heidenheim 1846:
M: Jan-Niklas Beste, Midfielder (HDH, 8.2M, 12%) - Beste is proving Newcomer of the Year, scoring and assisting thrice in his maiden Bundesliga season. Heidenheim looks safe for another year if this play continues on.
D: Omar Marmoush, Forward (SGE, 10.2M, 0%) - Marmoush will be the man to lead the line for Frankfurt this weekend and if he wants to continue doing so, he must show his worth and earn something from this match.
