After making just four starts for FSV Mainz 05 since transferring from Eintracht Frankfurt a little under two years ago, FSV Mainz 05 are preparing to loan out attacker Aymen Barkok to the second division. The 25-year-old's form issues have led to him losing his place on the Moroccan national football team and he did not make a particularly strong case for himself in his lone league start with his German club team this season.

Sky Germany reports that Mainz have found a taker for the former Moroccan international in 2. Bundesliga side Hertha BSC. Rheinhessen personnel boss Christian Heidel is on record as stating that Barkok has had difficulty adjusting to the team's training regimen. At present, it looks as if die Nullfünfter are nevertheless not prepared to give up on him entirely.
