Mario Götze has completed a move to PSV Eindhoven, putting pen to paper on a two-year deal with the Dutch Eredivisie club.

The 28-year-old has made the move to the Netherlands on a free transfer after his contract with Borussia Dortmund expired at the end of last season.

At Philips Stadion, Götze will play under former Bayer Leverkusen coach Roger Schmidt, whom he has had a number of conversations with.

"We had some nice talks and I seriously considered making a move to the Netherlands," said Götze after signing his new deal.

"I had a lot of offers this summer but I am a man of feeling and make my own decisions. I feel I am ready for a very different challenge and I am confident that this should be a very comfortable transition for me."
