Stuttgart Updates: Club confirms Millot capture, Dutch youngster Sankoh no longer a topic after horror injury

VfB Stuttgart confirmed the capture of French U18 international Enzo Millot on Saturday evening. 
Following their thorough demolition of SpVgg Greuther Fürth on Saturday afternoon, VfB Stuttgart had news of an additional signing to report. AS Monaco midfielder Enzo Millot will join the Swabians on a four-year-contract. German footballing Kicker cites its own sources to claim a transfer fee in the neighborhood of €1.5 million.

"Despite his young age, Enzo has already managed to be an integral part of the AS Monaco side and gained valuable experience at a professional level," VfB sporting director Sven Mislintat said of the 19-year-old, "In talks with us, he expressed a clear desire to take the next steps in his career in a VfB Stuttgart jersey."

Kicker reporters that the youngster will receive the tricot no.8, at the very least suggesting the club plans on utilizing him this season.



For another Stuttgart prospect, however, the prognosis is quite grim. Seventeen-year-old Dutch prospect Mohamed Sankoh suffered a nasty injury just one minute into his second Bundesliga appearance as a substitute.

In his post-match interview with Sky, head-coach Pellegrino Matarazzo confirmed that the teenager's wince-inducing leg twist was absolutely as bad as feared. Sankoh was explicitly ruled out until well into 2022.
