TSG Hoffenheim's two-goal hero Wouter Burger expressed his happiness after their 3-2 victory over VfL Wolfsburg this evening.

“We played well, but at times we weren’t compact enough in defence without the ball and lost tackles too easily.

"It wasn’t our best game, but we deserved to win. I’ve been working hard in training to get into the box [in attacking situations] more.

"I did that very well today and I’m very happy with my two goals," explained the towering Netherlands midfielder.

The Sinsheim club's Brazilian full-back Bernardo also chimed in, praising the quality and desire within the squad to keep pushing forward.

“We have a very good team with lots of fighters and we are a strong group. The lads who aren’t playing support us brilliantly from the bench and make an impact when they come on.

“Our training sessions are outstanding because everyone wants to play. You can see that. We often fall behind, but we never give up and always keep working,” he added.
