It’s only a matter of time before Bayern Munich officially announce a new contract for Dayot Upamecano.
Speaking after Bayern’s 5-1 victory over Hoffenheim on Sunday, club CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen confirmed that the French defender has agreed to a long-term deal.
“When you trust each other and give each other your word, it no longer matters when you actually sign,” Dreesen said.
"It’s only a matter of days. There are no issues," he added.
Upamecano’s current contract, which expires at the end of the season, will now be extended until 2030.
