According to sources in Sky Germany, David Santos Daiber is close to signing a contract extension with Bayern Munich.

With talks reportedly at an advanced stage, it would be the talented midfielder's first full senior professional contract.

The 19-year-old trains regularly under Vincent Kompany and made his Bayern debut in a 4-0 win over 1.FC Heidenheim in December.

He added another professional appearance in the 4-1 victory over Borussia Mönchengladbach at the beginning of March.

Although currently sidelined with a muscle injury, the Portuguese talent aims to establish himself at Bayern Munich in the long term.

However, Santos Daiber could gain playing experience elsewhere next season on loan, with a move in the summer becoming a possibility.
