Ex-Borussia Dortmund boss Edin Terzić appointed new Athletic Club coach

Former Borussia Dortmund coach Edin Terzić will take over at Athletic Club this summer.

Edin Terzić has officially been announced as the new coach of Athletic Club.

The German tactician will take over ahead of the new season, having signed a contract running until 2028.

He will replace Ernesto Valverde, who will leave his position at the end of the season.

Terzić has had two spells in charge of Borussia Dortmund in the past.

During his time with the Black and Yellows, he won the 2021 DFB-Pokal, narrowly missed out on the Bundesliga title in 2023 and guided the club to the 2024 UEFA Champions League final, where they suffered a 2–0 defeat to Real Madrid.

The 43-year-old has been without a coaching role since leaving Dortmund at the end of the 2023/24 season.
