Mark Flekken will start in goal again for Bayer Leverkusen as they take on 1.FC Heidenheim this afternoon, according to BILD.

The decision means Janis Blaswich will return to the bench –  a tough call after Blaswich's increasingly strong recent performances.

Head coach Kasper Hjulmand sees Flekken as better with the ball at his feet, particularly when it comes to initiating attacks.

A clear goalkeeping hierarchy, which had been discussed beforehand, was established at the start of Hjulmand's reign.

Blaswich had still hoped to remain the number one, especially after his strong performance in London during the 2-0 defeat to Arsenal.

Flekken was ruled out of action in mid-January after picking up an injury which would keep him out until March.
