Since joining Hamburger SV from RB Leipzig last summer, Yussuf Poulsen has spent a lot of time on the sidelines due to recurrent injury problems.
Now, the HSV captain has suffered another setback. Head coach Merlin Polzin revealed at a press conference on Thursday that the striker “suffered a thigh injury in training and will have to take a break for several weeks.”
Bakery Jatta, Alexander Rössing-Lelesiit and Albert Grönbaek are also unavailable for the North German club's upcoming game against 1. FC Köln.
As for Nicolas Capaldo, who has recently been sidelined with an abdominal muscle injury, Polzin expressed hope of a return to the squad.
