Jürgen Klopp is very keen to bring Andreas Schicker to RB Salzburg as the successor to Rouven Schröder.

Schröder was head-hunted by fellow Bundesliga side Borussia Mönchengladbach to fill Roland Virkus' vacant sporting director role.

According to Sky Germany's report, Klopp has also personally called Schicker, though negotiations are not currently taking place.

Schicker’s current preference is to stay at TSG Hoffenheim, but much now depends on the outcome of several internal political decisions.

Sources close to the Austrian suggest he currently prefers to stay in Sinsheim, committed to continuing the club’s development path.
