Kömür attracting Premier League interest, Turkish national team come calling

Augsburg's star is having a breakthrough season in their attacking third and is attracting attention from Europe and on the international scene.

FC Augsburg's Mert Kömür has attracted interest from several Premier League and Bundesliga clubs, according to Sky Germany.

Transfer journalist Florian Plettenberg is aware that Kömür's dream is to play Champions League football in the future. 

The 20-year-old, who has shown his versatility in attacking midfield and as a striker, is improving steadily under coach Sandro Wagner.

Wagner himself even discussed the youngster in an interview with BILD, stating that the player has “no limits” with his ability

This season alone, Kömür has already scored two goals and provided two assists in the current Bundesliga campaign.

Furthermore, the Turkish football federation are fighting hard to secure him for their national team. His Augsburg contract runs until 2029.

However, it's worth noting Kömür has already represented Germany through U-17 and U-18 level right up to the U-19s.
