German World Cup winner Christoph Kramer has insisted he has no plans to leave Borussia Mönchengladbach this summer.

Asked if he expected to play for Gladbach again, the 33-year-old defensive midfielder told the Bild newspaper:

“Probably! I still have a year left on my contract. Borussia Mönchengladbach is my club. It would be strange to leave through the back door.”

From a sporting perspective, things are not looking easy for Kramer, who was limited to just one start in the 2023/24 season.

"I'm an athlete. It's a different situation for me. For the first time in my life I'm not a starter, which feels strange. But if that's the case at 33, then I have to face it," he said.

Kramer, who won the World Cup with Germany in 2014, has one year left on his contract with Gladbach.
